After a long hiatus...I am trying the blog thing again!!

Well it's been almost 4 years, but I am going to try to start doing the blog again. We'll see how far I get before I flake out again! :)

Life has been crazy in the James home! William and Isaiah will be 8 on Friday! I cannot believe my "babies" are turning 8!! They will be getting BAPTIZED on March 6th at 1:45pm!! It seems like just yesterday they were these itty bitty teeny tiny babies (they were 3# 14oz [Will] and 3# 11oz [Zae] at birth). Now they are 52 lbs [W] and 46 lbs [I] and getting too big and too smart for their own good! They are both doing very well in school...reading a little above level, doing really well in math, and loving their extra-curriculars (William loves Art and Isaiah loves Music and PE). William has been taking an Art class here in town once a week and Isaiah has been playing soccer (he should start back soon once the snow melts).

Grant will be turning 6 on Friday! After a rough start, he is doing great in Kindergarten!! He didn't do too well in his initial testing and we weren't sure he was ready to start school yet, but now he is going SO well! He knows his ABC's and 123's, colors, shapes, patterns, and has started reading!! Last week were Parent-Teacher Conferences and his teacher says that he has come a long way and actually has come farther than she thought he would! YEAH!! I guess we just needed to get him in that element since he never had preschool and wasn't used to anything like that before. Grant LOVES to climb and is my little monkey boy...I swear if he makes it to 10 without a broken bone it will be a miracle!!

Megan is getting to be such a big girl already! She is 16 months old and running EVERYWHERE!! She has also recently learned to climb down stairs backwards. She is very much the little princess and is spoiled rotten by not only me and Daddy but also by her brothers...especially William! Will adores this little girl and is her guardian and protector...has been from the day she was born. She love to play with blocks and her dollies and stroller. She also likes to carry Mommy's Snuggie around and has kinda taken it as her own. I guess I need to get her one so I can have mine back! :) Her favorite foods are mac-n-cheese and Kix and she LOVES her sippies of milk!! We are still trying to figure out where she got her blond hair and green eyes from. I am guessing it's recessive genes on my Mom's side (I have an aunt with blond hair and green eyes so I guess one of my grandparents is a carrier of those recessives)? But she is a beautiful girl who brings a smile to everyone she comes across!! And if you didn't know better you would swear she was Grant's little clone!

As for me and Michael, not much exciting is going on with us. I am on the Scout Committee at Church now. So far it has been fun to help plan stuff, but I am sure it will be more fun after this month when my boys get to start Scouts too!! I have been going to the gym...although not as often as I should...but I am at least making an effort. I do the daycare there so I get free daycare when I work out. That helps encourage me to go, but I still don't go as often as I should. I am also involved in 2 local Moms of Twins Clubs. The Davis group only does a MNO each month which I try to go to at least every other month. The SLC group does alot more and I am Activities Chair...so that heeps me quite busy! We have a Parents Night Out this week so that will be alot of fun!! It's nice to get away once in a while...even if only for a few hours!

Michael is just busy working working and working! Chevron keeps him busy! The past couple weeks he had all-day long meetings!! FUN! Other than that he teaches 4th Sunday in Elders Quorum. He seems to like that quite a bit...but he has ALWAYS enjoyed teaching anything he can at Church! Currently he is GM'ing Fantasy Craft for our little RPG group. There are just 5 of us, but we have alot of fun getting together on Saturday nights and playing!! FC is a fun new game and it's a nice change from doing D&D for so long! We decided to let each other have a little "fun $$" from the tax return and he decided to get a Japanese learning course. He is just getting started (he has been doing it for about a week now) but is really enjoying it so far and I have actually learned a little bit too! Who knows...maybe we will end up in Japan one day for a job, mission, or vacation.

I will try to figure out how to post pics again and get some new ones up. We'll see how that goes...

Michael wasn't feeling well one day, and Grant fell asleep in our bed at naptime...on MY pillow!!

Silly Grant again:

Sunday October 22

These were taken on Oct 22...the day that William and Isaiah had thier first Primary Program. They did such a great job saying thier parts! I cannot beleive my boys are already almost 5!! They LOVE thier Sunbeam classes at church (yes they are in separate classes) and they are getting to be such BIG BOYS!! Grant thinks he is 5 too...he tries to do everything that his brothers are doing (and it drives them crazy). :)

At the Trout Farm (October 2006)

William and Isaiah went to the trout farm for a field trip for school, but goofy mommy forgot the camera. Since daddy was not able to go with them the first time, we all went back a week later (camera in hand) and got these pics.

Even More T-Bryd pics

More T-Byrd Pics

I got to see Tracy Bryd in Concert!!

Last night Michael and I went to Orem to see Tracy Bryd in concert! It was AWSOME!! Tracy Bryd sings "Keeper of the Stars" which is our wedding song...it was played as we exchanged rings and again as our first dance. He puts on a GREAT concert! I have been waiting for 8 years (since MIchael and I first picked this song as "our song" while we were dating) to see him in concert. I told Michael that if he ever came near where we were living we HAD to get tickets...and so Michael got me tickets for my b-day.
